Our society could benefit from reading a dictionary one of these days, I’m sure it could find the time between readings of 50 shades, and reality tv viewings, and it only needs to read a few key terms to come to grips with the crumbling statue of truth.
In the west a few minority groups have vowed for the equality label, in their urge to be treated equally, both socially, and politically – with similar results. Those results being the group becoming a special interests case where things are forced down societies throat like laws and quota’s. On the surface it seems like the right thing to do, discrimination isn’t something to necessarily be proud of, as a human. However, what happens is these groups never give up this special needs, special treatment, special entitlements, clutching on to precious and never wanting to relinquish it.
Humans are hoarders, if we are given something, we want to keep it at all costs, it becomes not only something we desire but a right, it becomes something entitled that just being human we are now relentless to give up our precious for any reason, even if that reason would benefit society and even themselves. It is this mark on humanity’s soul that taints the waters we all sip from.
We now find our society in a never ending grab bag for special interests group, all vying for a chance to hold the ring of power. Even (and this bothers me) men have been forced into a corner of becoming one, as in our current environment all reason and logic have been cast out in favor of feelings and false empathy.
Our society is just one big dog and pony show, where every splinter of society now try’s to grab the ring at any chance, bombarding us with their needs and suffrage at the hands of the establishment – an establishment that is now nothing more than a soup kitchen, giving out to all groups who make the biggest donations or show the false empathy of the populace.
A society should be run on a few key fundamental morals and ethics that should not waiver, even in times of despair, for this is what strength is, not armies and not money, but the strength of humanity is growing weak. There are whispers of a nameless threat – a dark cloud growing, I have felt it, others have felt it – it is growing and the lord of lies and greed just might consume us all.
The noble sounding hue and cry of Equality has the mumbled afterward ‘of outcome regardless of effort’. Few people are or can be against equality, but equality of outcome is no equality at all. Equality is starting at the same start line with the same equipment and the proverbial chips fall where they may, not being passed ahead because it is too hard.
Sadly the notion has become enshrined in Law if you can believe it. Decades ago when the Virginian Military Institute was fighting to stay single sex the Supreme Court found against them in and 2 of the more remarkable paragraphs in modern jurisprudence ‘Justice” Ginsburg wrote in para 1 that she had never witnessed, read, nor heard tell of anything as overtly and egregiously unfair as excluding women from The Virginia Military Institute in all her time and involvement with the Law, from law school forward to the supreme court.
Then in paragraph 2 she went on to say that there was only one thing that could possibly be worse than excluding women which would be, in fact, including them under the unreasonable demand that they perform the same tasks as men and to the same standard.
So, to recapitulate women are equal enough in all respects to go, they just aren’t equal enough to live up to the same standard. You can play dress up, but nobody expects you to hack it in terms of earning your way That is what passes for a legal mind in our times. Is it any wonder men choose to live in Mommy and Daddy’s basement dressed like refugees from the 4th grade and play video games with that kind of institutionalized idiocy?
