Whether it be in regards to work, career, family, women, anything men do in the world we need that little carrot dangling over our heads that we can make our world better. It’s a unique trait in men, something women can’t understand, and haven’t displayed outside of appearance and social acceptance, and perhaps family building and maintenance – and it’s something that has driven humanity to reach the heights of civilizations, and progression. Now sure, perhaps men’s ambition could have been tempered a bit by a good femaie influence and our mistakes might have been avoided (we tend to go over board a little (over grazing our planet, over indulging on conquests, etc) but with out our ambition, and our desire to make our world better for ourselves, we would be left in small hunter gathering tribes.

Now let’s take a look at the world around us currently, as we a shift in our paradigm, where jobs are scarce and have little hope of enough quality jobs being created, lack of quality jobs that can become careers, the increasing competition with population growth and the addition to women in the workplace, robotic and automation, and off shore workers doing our jobs for pittences – and we see a lack of motivation in our enviroment, there’s little to be excited and motivated to get out there and conquer the market when it’s already laying there in a death rattle. Marriage and women have little to be desired, their weight is going up up up, their attitudes are getting worse, and their expectations are stuck in a friends and sex in the city worlds of a previous generations fantasy, not to mention sexist towards men divorce laws and financial and custody risks taken up if one were desired to get married. Not much of a carrot there, on a general view.

There are so many area’s that have ceased to give men motivation to “man up” as some have called for, and for men, we don’t man up for nothing. We man up to a challenge, one that has the promise of a reward if successful. If there is no chance of success, or extremely limted chance, we’re most likely not going to be motivated. See, you femaie counterparts, we as men don’t have the luxury of opting out of this situation, we can’t simply plop out a few kids and get taken care of – no we have to shoulder this burden with out opt outs – with the exception of opting out of having sex, opting out of career building in order to play more video games, or watch movies and just sit around and watch sports until we die. Or, for some men, taking pleasure in sexual escapades with the waning attractive sexual market place.

As much as I would like to say, men can make their own motivation in order to change their circumstances, and it’s true we can, there is simply to much of a lack of motivation to do so. Society holds no carrot for us anymore. Welcome to dystopia.
